Software Merchant Inc. is searching for the next generation of iOS Development talent! We're looking for hard-working, passionate, loyal, honest candidates that see and understand the future of mobile/iOS technology like we do at Software Merchant Inc. We are always fulfilling development positions for our Fortune500 client projects to design, develop, and implement business application software & technologies, using Xcode, Swift 5, Objective-C, etc. to develop secure, native iOS applications for internal business benefits and external consumer benefits.

We have 5 Junior iOS Developer positions available in NY/NJ/CA/TX/MA (remote until COVID-19 ends). Candidates with appropriate experience (as mentioned in Job Requirements) will begin work at the client-site immediately. We also provide visa sponsorship for foreign workers and international student graduates: F1 Visa CPT/OPT --> H-1B filing and extensions --> Green Card sponsorship for long-term employees. Salary range varies between 85K-110K, based on the client's location and the candidate's iOS skillset.

For candidates that don't have the necessary iOS experience (as mentioned in Job Requirements), we can offer a "Bridge-the-Gap" period to serve as a stepping-stone between the traditional college learning experience and real-world iOS Development. Our "Bridge-the-Gap" program is for proficient Software Developers, with knowledge of Java, Python, and other programming languages, that would like to learn and become Mobile Developers for the Swift/Apple platform. "Bridge-the-Gap" period will last 4-8 weeks and a stipend will be paid, in lieu of full-time salary, to cover necessary living expenses (accommodation and food) and daily commute to our office. We will also cover relocation expenses as part of the "Bridge-the-Gap" program, because this will be on-site.

Job Requirements:

Must have strong knowledge and understanding of Swift 5, Swift UI, and iOS Frameworks.
Requires experience with CoreData, MapKit, UIKit, GCD, Multithreading, AVFoundation, and other core iOS concepts.
Requires knowledge and implementation of MVC, MVVC, and VIPER design architecture, along with other fundamental iOS design patterns.
Requires experience with Unit Testing, Memory Management, and Version Management.
Must have proficient skills in Story Boarding, Navigation, Data Handling, JSON and REST APIs.
Requires experience with Agile methodologies and team-based development.
