VRP Logistics Inc. has an immediate opening for 10 long haul Truck Drivers at our locations in Woodstock and Brampton.

As a Long Haul Truck Driver , you will perform some or the following duties:

Load and unload goods at various locations and terminals
Ensure loading and unloading is performed in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting goods
Follow the dispatch plan, plan routes ahead and obtain necessary documentation for transporting goods
Follow the company maintenance procedures and take the equipment for necessary inspections as per management requests
Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Record information of carrying material, bill of lading, logbooks, and all required paperwork for transportation requirements

Conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip Inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle including tires, signals, brakes, and storage and report any maintenance department
Receive and relay information to central dispatch using on board devices
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Pay and receive payments for goods
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy
Perform brake adjustments
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment

Qualifications:

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time (50-60 hours/week)

Compensation: $27.00/hour
