Our Approved Maintenance Organization is based at our Waterloo Airport (CYKF) with over 22 000 sq/ft of maintenance facilities which is also a FAA 14 CFR Part 43.17 Authorized Maintenance Provider for Part 91, 121, 125 and 135 Operators, with an A & P Licensed mechanic on staff.
Duties
· Supervise and schedule inspection, maintenance, troubleshoot and repairs on aircrafts following standard procedures
· Plan and identify maintenance tasks and all required tools and material to complete the tasks for the assigned aircraft
· Coordinate inventory of maintenance tools and equipment to meet demands
· Ensure aircraft is maintained in accordance with all manufacturers and company regulations
· Maintain reports of all inspection, maintenance, and repairs
· Certify maintenance release for all assigned maintenance tasks supervised or completed
· Troubleshoot and rectify unscheduled aircraft unserviceability in accordance with approved procedures
· Submit safety and service difficulty issues to the company’s Safety Management System in a clear and concise manner
· Adhere to the company’s Safety Management guidelines at all times
· Control and monitor maintenance costs
· Participate in personnel hiring, training and assessment
· Attend training courses as approved
· Participate in special projects as required
Requirements
• Education: Completed a college or an apprenticeship program in aircraft maintenance
• Experience : 3 years or more
• Experience on Piston and Turbine Aircraft required
• Language: English
• Valid AME license or Certification
• Proven working knowledge with general aircraft inspection, repair, and/or installation
• Possess strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills
• Attention to details
• Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects and tasks and execute effectively and in a timely manner
• Ability to make sound and safe decisions, while following documented policies and procedures
• Commitment to teamwork and working in a safety-oriented atmosphere
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, can-do attitude
• Ability to support, strengthen, and enhance safety initiatives
