Responsibilities:
•Installing, maintaining, and modifying complex electrical distribution systems and equipment
•Inspecting electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and gears ensuring these are compliant with legislative codes
•Supporting continuous improvement initiatives suggesting ways of improving efficiency
•Undertaking preventative and predictive maintenance of equipment in line with schedules of work to ensure costly repairs are minimized
•Responding to emerging situations, troubleshooting activities, offering solutions and ideas to problems
•Utilizing blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects
Skills and Abilities:
•Must be able to read, interpret, and utilize blueprints, drawings, and manufacturing guides, and maintenance manuals
•Must be able to work from ladders, man lifts, and in confined spaces
•IT literate, with experience of Microsoft packages and processing software
•PLC programming and troubleshooting experience in Allen Bradley or Siemens.
•Must be able to work 12-hour rotating continental (days, nights, weekends)
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-8 years of related work experience ideally from an industrial/manufacturing environment and be a certified Electrician holding an electrical/journeyman certificate of qualification.
