Swissport operates more than 50 airport lounges worldwide under the "Aspire Lounges" brand.
Our lounges aren't quite cafes or restaurants, but they do offer a haven for guests looking for a comfortable seat, free food and drinks, great WiFi and most importantly a fantastic experience before their flight, regardless of the reason for their trip.
The lounge agent will take turns handling the operations related to the check-in process in the lounge, supervising the buffet, replenishing the buffet, processing customer requests as well as cleaning the tables after use by customers.
Our lounges are open to the public from 4am to 10pm. We are therefore looking for agents available to work in the morning, afternoon or evening.
Responsibilities of the position
- To provide passengers with an exceptional level of customer service at all times.
- Welcome passengers upon entering the lounge and introduce them to all aspects of the lounge product, advising them on all available services and helping to build customer loyalty.
- Liaise with service providers and supervise contracted staff, overseeing restoration, cleaning and maintenance operations, to ensure service standards are met and maintained.
- Proactively assist operational staff to ensure that passenger needs are met by changing seats, issuing boarding passes, checking in passengers in transit and changing reservations.
- Keep all passengers in the lounge informed of the departure of their flight and any other information related to their flight.
- Provide customers with information about the airport and its facilities (flight schedules and airline information, direction of departure gates, etc.).
- Responsible for the replenishment of shelves and coolers. Assist with inventory verification.
- Pick up dirt and support the back of the house, make sure that toilet checks are carried out.
- Prepare and manage the bar, monitor the alcohol consumption of customers.
- Help serve customers at different locations in the lounge and bar.
- Carry out regular checks of all areas of the show to ensure a professional image and ensure the follow-up of maintenance work.
- Ensure that proper cleaning procedures are followed and that personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn during service. Employees must comply with all health and safety rules, applied and updated by the company.
- Respond to phone calls and other duties assigned by the salon supervisor.

The Lounge Agent will take care of the operations on a rotation basis related to the check-in process at the lounge, overseeing the buffet, replenishing the buffet, servicing guest requests as well as having tasks of cleaning up tables after client use.
Our lounges are open to the public from 4am-10pm therefore we are presently looking for agents that are available to work the morning, afternoon, or evening shifts.
Job Responsibilities
- Always provide to the passengers an exceptional level of customer service

- Liaise with service providers and supervise contracted staff, overseeing catering, cleaning, and maintenance operations, so that service standards are met and maintained
- Assist operational staff in a proactive manner, to ensure passenger needs are met by undertaking seat changes, issuing of boarding cards, check-in of transit passengers, and reservation changes
- Keep all passengers in the lounge informed regarding their flight departure and any other information pertaining to their flight
- Provide information of the airport and its facilities (Flight schedules and airlines information, direction to the departure gates, etc.) to the customers.
- Responsible to restock shelves and coolers. Assist with inventory check.
- Collect dirties and support the back of the house, ensure washroom checks are done.
- Prepare and handlebar duties, to monitor the alcoholic consumption of customers.
- Help serving customers at different areas in the lounge and bar.
- Carry out regular checks of all areas of the lounge to ensure professional image and follow up with maintenance works.
- Ensure that proper cleaning procedures are adhered to, and personal protective equipment (PPE) is always worn during the shift. Employees are expected to follow all health and safety regulations, enforced, and updated by the company.
- Answer phone calls and other duties assigned as directed by the Lounge Supervisor.
Requirements
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
- Have Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status
- Flexible to work on various shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays)
- Bilingual in French and English, spoken and written
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Passionate about customer service and must have relevant work experience
- Experience as a passenger agent or equivalent experience in aviation field is an asset
- Self motivated and able to work independently
- Attentive to detail and numerate
- Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
- Communication and writing skills
- Ability to use computers and knowledge to work with Micro Soft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good organizational skills and Ability to prioritize
- Positive attitude and self-motivated
- Able to stand for long hours
