Assistance in preparing and serving meals.
Provide a high level of customer service.
Work closely with the chef and/or sous chef to ensure residents are satisfied with the food and dining programs.
Always keep the kitchen clean, safe and sanitary.
Adhere to cleaning schedules as directed.
Make sure all foods are received, stored and prepared according to company standards.
Assist the chef in preparing and serving meals and appetizers in accordance with company recipes and production guidelines.
Keep kitchen floors clean (sweep and mop) and take out trash.
Assistance with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
Assistance to cooks upon request.
Adhere to standard food safety guidelines.
Assistance in the preparation and holding of celebrations, banquets and themed dinners.
Operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment in cleanliness and sanitary standards.
Will be present at the pre-meal counter in the kitchen before food is served.
May perform other duties as assigned.

Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff and guests in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner.
Must effectively listen, understand and clarify concerns raised by staff and guests.

Attend all necessary meetings and trainings at the hotel.
Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and badge.
Must deal effectively with problems, including anticipating, preventing, detecting and resolving problems as needed.
Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from a variety of sources to achieve appropriate goals.
