American Iron & Metal is a growth-oriented metal recycling and processing company located in Hamilton, Ontario. We are currently recruiting for a Certified Full-time Truck Mechanic with experience for our Hamilton location. Qualified candidate must have a valid (310T) Truck and Coach Service License.

Responsibilities Include: 

• Experience with maintenance, inspection, diagnosis, and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. 
• Knowledge of diesel engines and mechanical troubleshooting along with preventive maintenance, diagnosis, and repair. 
• Review and assist with repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. 
• Complete documents related to the maintenance reports and documentation. 
• Perform maintenance related work as required. 
• Maintain a clean, safe work area. 

• Valid 310T Truck and Coach Service License 
• 2-5 years’ experience working on Commercial Trucks 
• Self-motivated and able to work independently 
• Must enjoy a fast-paced environment and take pride in your work 
• Able to demonstrate you are organized, responsible, independent, resourceful, and dynamic 
• Valid driver's license is required 
• Must possess own set of tools
