Who we are:
At IDM Youth Services (IDMYS) we believe that all people have the opportunity to live in a safe,
stable, supportive environment. IDMYS provides all-inclusive care in a residential setting to one of
the most vulnerable populations, at-risk youth. All-inclusive care includes everything from cooking,
cleaning, and driving to and from appointments, to administering medications, to offering emotional
and behavioural support. Our team at IDMYS is dedicated to providing superior care and support in
everything we do for the youth we serve.
We are currently looking for Youth Support Workers for a variety of shifts to join our amazing team!
What we are looking for:
· Passion for helping others.
· Positivity.
· Excellent communicator who is understanding, patient, and non-judgemental while providing exceptional care to our youth.
· Computer literacy.
· Valid BC Driver's License.
· Demonstrated ability to work well as a part of a team.
· Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
· Must be 19 years or older.
Preferred but not required:
· Experience working with at-risk youth and/or people who have a mental health diagnosis or experienced trauma.
· Experience administering and documenting daily medications.
· Experience working with suicide prevention and self-harm behaviour.
· Education in a related field (education, psychology, child and youth care, counselling, health).

Compensation, hours, and location:
Compensation starts at $21.63 per hour and requires union membership. Hours are varied and a
variety of shifts at multiple locations in Victoria, B.C. are currently available.
