We are a non-profit, registered society, we provide support for individuals living with a brain injury, their families and caregivers. We facilitate support groups, workshops, virtual support via zoom for caregivers, events & information.
We are open to the public Wednesdays 11-2pm, Thursdays 11-3pm. More hours are available with Traveling Brain School.
Duties:
As Program Facilitator you will:
· Work on behalf of the organization.
· Organize and implement recreation or work programs that will be available at our facility, or in the community, or at any school.
· Your duties will involve, but not limited to, research, clients facilitation, event scheduling, supervision of all activities and client support.
· We support 3 programs, and funding for all programs/operations comes from Bingos, Casinos and Grants.
· You will be required to volunteer at one Bingo/Casino a month minimum.
· Communication and engagement skills are vital. Duties of a Program Facilitator involve motivating participants and leading programs.
Qualifications:
· Grade-12 or equivalent, and experience working with individuals with brain injuries or related disabilities.
· Criminal Record Check is required.
· Computer skills required, social media postings/website updates.
Supplementary Information
1. Vehicle necessary, as Traveling Brain School requires travel.
2. Mileage is 0.55 per km.
3. Work hours: Wed/Thu 11am – 3pm + Brain School events.
4. Hourly Wage is $22.00, plus 4% vacation pay.
5. Parking - paid by Cabis
6. There is a 3 month probation period.
7. This is a 12 month position reviewed annually
8. You will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement.
9. Ability to take direction from the President and/or Board.
