ONxpress Transportation Partners (ONxpress) were chosen by Metrolinx and Infrastructure Ontario (IO) to enter the Development Phase of the On-Corridor Works project – the largest project in Metrolinx’s GO Expansion.
Unprecedented in its scale and complexity, this multi-billion dollar capital program will transform the GO regional rail network with electrification, more frequent service, shorter journey times and a more modernized system for the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area.
Opportunity
ONxpress Transportation Partners, Operations & Maintenance (O&M.) is looking for Requirements Manager. The role is responsible to help develop, manage and maintain the requirements system and process for ONxpress Operations as part of the GO Expansion – On-Corridor Works package. Will develop a small team, and work closely with staff from all departments within ONxpress Operations as they work towards mobilization and operational readiness, and with our project partners throughout the construction phase. You will champion the requirements process within the organization, placing a strong emphasis on collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibility
- Ownership for the requirements management and requirements activities working within the DOORS environment.
- Work with and oversee ONxpress Operations staff responsible for the various requirements
- Extensive experience facilitating requirements reviews, keeping accurate notes, ensure requirements and verification statements meet acceptable standards, support and advance requirements of the DOORS requirements toolset across the Team.
- Act as main point of contact for Requirements Management for the ONxpress Operations team.
- Manage the DOORS user access, monitors the licenses availability and effectively forecasts future need
- Provide training and process support on DOORS to staff
- Control the consistency with DOORS data model.
- Monitor and report on requirements progress.
Education & Qualifications
University or College degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Experience
- Highly skilled in requirements led systems engineering in preferably in the rail sector
- Extensive hands-on working experience with DOORS Next Generation (NG)
- Experience working collaboratively across a large team
- Managing a cross-business team to deliver results
- General understanding of engineering, safety, and applicable regulations
- Significant understanding of requirements engineering and the application of tools within this area
- Significant working knowledge of DOORS, with experience in large, complex programs
- Previous experience working as part of an engineering requirements team in implementing and managing requirements across the full development lifecycle
- Ability to operate both at a strategic and tactical level, with a willingness to engage directly to resolve detailed technical issues.
- Familiarity with EN50126
