We are currently seeking an experienced Millwright or Apprentice Millwright who is interested in being part of a growing and dynamic team, takes pride in their work and strives to be the best in the industry.
This position will be located at our Innisfail office.
Responsibilities:
- Complete company vehicle oil changes and services
- Repair and maintenance on overhead cranes
- Repair and maintenance on plant equipment (compressors, forklifts, lathe etc)
- Repair and maintenance on building equipment (Make up air units, heaters etc)
- Repair and maintain small tools (e.g. grinders, gougers, etc.)
- Perform general cleanup of the shop
- Follow all safety and shop policies and procedures
Essential Attributes:
- Millwright/HET trade cert with at least 2 years of industrial experience
- 2 nd/3rd/4th yr will be considered
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Must be able to work at heights, have a strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills, with great attention to safety procedures and protocols
- Ability to critically think, problem solve in a mechanical capacity
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools
- Must have basic computer literacy ( Excel )
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
