Count Attendant - Part-Time
Overview
The Count Attendant is primarily responsible for the collection and processing of large volumes of currency from Tables Games, Slot Machines and Food and Beverage for reporting purposes. The Attendant provides documentation of counts fulfilling all Gaming and Hard Rock regulatory requirements.
Please note this role primarily involves physical labour. Great position for someone who wants to stay in shape and get paid to workout. The successful candidate must be able to bend, twist, carry, and push large loads.
Responsibilities
- Must be able to work early mornings (e.g. 4:30am to 13:00pm) Thursdays through Mondays.
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with the Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) and Hard Rock departmental policies and procedures.
- Responsible for proper closing, locking and shutting of all machines dropped that day.
- Transports cash carts to and from the Count room.
- Unlocks/opens slot machine doors and bill validator doors to access cash boxes to be collected.
- Maintains customer confidence and performs Count room functions by keeping information confidential.
- Records cash drop on Drop Record Forms.
- Assists with all Count Room Department activities as assigned.

- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers and supervisors of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent and six (6) months of cash handling experience required.
- A strong mathematical aptitude, managerial skills and familiarity with a high-volume, fast paced, shift-work environment
- A working knowledge of computer software and the ability to learn new software and systems
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario
SKILLS
- Strong mathematical aptitude, ability to work in a physically demanding area, ability to work within a confined space, have good hand-eye coordination, and be familiar with a high-volume, fast paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational, teamwork and analytical skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Requires constant bending, twisting and lifting.
- Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in a closed windowless environment with audio and video surveillance present, but there are times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor completing job functions as assigned. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, excessive noise.
