COMMODITY SPECIALIST

Job description:

Manage commodity to keep product fresh
Review incoming product to quality specifications
Allocate product as per customer specifications
Communicate with Commodity Manager and Quality Control (QC), and Sales Team for any quality concerns
Communicate with Commodity Team and/or Sales if cuts are being made due to shortage or quality not meeting specifications
Allocate product for production if the product needs to be re-worked
Print out and work directly off daily Famous inventory report
Physically tag all products for shipping; product being straight shipped and production; product needing to be repacked
Verify finished product based on customer specifications
Tag next day allocation for early trucks based on commodity team decision
Review all product allocated for production and discuss quality concerns with QC department
Note discrepancies to Inventory Manager and QC Manager and resolve immediately to maintain live inventory
