POSITION OVERVIEW:
CUSL is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to assume an exciting, multifaceted role within our management team. Under the leadership of the Director of Operations, the Contract Specialist is responsible for the engagement of multi-million-dollar contracts and scoping, assisting with planning and costing.
Responsibilities for Contract Specialist
· Prepare contractual agreements using current research methods and a knowledge of a client's needs and ability to fulfill its requirements
· Act as the primary point of contact for all contracts
· Be proficient in interpretation and management of contract terms and conditions
· Self-monitor progress according to the schedule of completion to submit drafts and documents in a timely manner
· Must possess a good understanding of operational management including planning of all activities that follow the project from start to finish
· Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
· Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
· Must be able to manage multiple projects and maintain current knowledge of government policies and regulations
· Proofread, edit, and fact-check documents for accuracy and consistency
· Collaborate with management and office staff
· Support operations team in the fulfillment the terms of the contract.
Qualifications for Contract Specialist
Bachelor’s degree, paralegal or relevant experience.
A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of procurement regulations, contract documents, and legal specifications.
Ability to identify, analyze, and suggest solutions for problems, customer complaints, and client concerns.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a mastery of the English language.
Good organization skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of negotiation best practices, both in-person and in written form, that considers cultural norms and the client's best interests.
