Heavy Equipment Operator/Trucker Qualifications
Must have 3 years’ experience or equivalent work experience
Valid driver’s license & clean driving abstract would be an asset
Able to work independently
Class 1 driver’s license would be an asset
Must have first aid and WHMIS
Must be willing to travel and stay in hotels or camps
Duties Include:
Operating heavy equipment on construction and forestry sites such as highways, transmission lines, right-of-way’s, wind and solar farms, and forestry development. The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for performing regular equipment inspections and completing and maintaining logs as well as adhering to CUSL’s Environmental Protection Plan and following safe work practices. The Heavy Equipment Operator will often be working independently as well as in remote locations. Applicants who also hold a valid Class 1 driver’s license will be viewed favourably.
