About the job:
As an integral member of our Accounting team, the Payroll/Accounting Clerk is responsible for the providing timely reporting of accounts payable and government remittances and assisting in payroll in order to complete the process within weekly deadlines. You will:
· Provide timely and accurate invoices to clients
· Set up job orders in our various systems
· Process and apply credit card and other payments using online banking software
· Post accounts payable for all LEVERT companies and process payments when due
· Respond to accounts receivable and accounts payable inquiries
· Prepare payroll source payments for Canada Revenue Agency remitting
· Set up clients and jobs in GP
· Complete Records of Employment
· Respond to Service Canada requests
· Provide payroll support by entering timesheets and review employee benefits eligibility.
· Other duties as assigned
What you need:
· Fluently bilingual, in both French and English
· Post-Secondary education in Business, Accounting or similar
· Advanced computer skills; experience with MS Office Suite and CRM an asset
· Team oriented, good communication & interpersonal skills (oral and written)
· Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priority tasks
