NCC Development Limited (NCCD) is seeking a Mechanic located in various communities in Nunavut. NCC Development Limited, a division of NCC Investment Group (NCCIG), manages and oversees all small and large development projects.
The Mechanics are working to fulfill the demands of the particular scope of work and are key to the successful completion of small and large development projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
• The Mechanic performs preventive maintenance and diagnostics, repairs
equipment, inspects machines, engines, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brakes,
transmissions etc., and runs diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repairs machine issues while aiming for maximum
reliability.
• Check and repair broken lines and hoses and replace valves as needed.
• Repair or overhaul portable equipment or components removed from machine.
• Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment and systems.
• Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery.
• Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to
machine or vehicle users.
• Assist in maintaining inventory.
• Work under limited supervision and select from written instructions and established
procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Previous experience is required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• The ability and willingness to learn company safety policies and standards.
• Ability to perform services on brakes, alignments, shock & struts, and basic
diagnostics.
• Proficiency in the use of diagnostic repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics
used to diagnose electronically controlled fuel systems.
• Ability to handle assorted tools properly and safely.
