NCC Development Limited (NCCD) is seeking a Drywaller located in Iqaluit. NCC
Development Limited, a division of NCC Investment Group (NCCIG), manages and
oversees all small and large development projects.
NCC Development Drywallers are working to fulfill the demands of the particular scope of work and are key to the successful completion of small and large development projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
• The Drywaller is responsible to measure, cut, fit, and securely install drywall on
walls and ceilings in preparation for painting and finishing.
• Measure rooms where building material is to be installed including walls, top-out,
and ceilings according to blueprints or drawings.
• Inspect framing surfaces for imperfections (walls/ceiling not plumb or square, stud
layout in incorrect locations, stud spacing, etc.)
• Cut and fit drywall to fit measurements and attach drywall to studs using power
tools.
• Cut openings for plumbing, electrical outlets, air conditioning units, etc.
• Trim rough edges to ensure a tight fit.
• Safely use various tools and power equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Previous experience is preferred.
• The ability and willingness to learn and adhere to company safety policies and
standards.
• Knowledge of and ability to use tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the
job.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication,
and division.
• Ability to read (blueprints) plans and specifications.
• Ability to accurately measure materials.
Personal Skills and Abilities
• Ability to follow direction.
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolds, and stilts.
• Ability and willingness to work in a team environment, with frequent one-on-one
and group activity.
